I no longer have use for this Ayatana indicator or its package (moved on to wingpanel-indicator-sensors).

I'll orphan it in case anyone else does.

@PedroHLC Been a while since I updated this, seems that gobject-introspection has since become a split package.

libpeas pulls gobject-introspection-runtime, but the .autogen script is checking for it's presence by the headers provided with gobject-introspection, which the package probably doesn't need. grr. other upstream problems include a number of unnecessarily linked shared libraries.

Also needed git in makedepends(); did some rearrangement of depends() and optdepends().

checking for LIBPEAS... no
configure: error: Package requirements (libpeas-1.0 >= 0.7.2) were not met:

Needs gobject-introspection to build

>oberon2007 It isn't my intention to hide the copyright info, etc. but to avoid clutter in menus. The extra menu items serve no purpose relevant to the indicator's function; it is my opinion that status notifiers should provide explicit functionality only. I posted an issue on the author's github, asking for them to be made optional (as is done in glippy, via gsettings). I understand why the author wants an "About" feature, but it would be just as useful as a button in the configuration dialog. I don't see many use cases for "Quit". Indicators best fulfil their purpose by starting at log in and running until log out.

makedepends gobject-introspection is needed. Why are you removing those menu-entries? I think it's weird. Like that you don't have a way to exit the plugin at all and copyright, version and author info are hidden.

This package includes a custom patch: menu-cleanup.patch - removes "About" and "Quit" It also installs some polkit rules: is-udisks2.rules - allow checking org.freedesktop.udisks2.ata-check-{power,update} without suid See issues: https://github.com/alexmurray/indicator-sensors/issues/12 https://github.com/alexmurray/indicator-sensors/issues/11
