@larvan iscan-for-epson-v500-photo seems to be working for some of us and not for others, I haven't looked at it into details but I've replaced the dependency with the source built iscan, let me know if any issue.

@Kewl I have the same problem. My V33 does not work with iscan-for-epson-v500-photo, but it does with iscan.

My system is up to date, I tried reinstalling iscan* packages, reboot and reconnect the scanner - nothing worked until I did pacman -Rdd iscan-for-epson-v500-photo and replaced it with iscan and that did it.

Can you please change the dependency?

@Kewl after full system update iscan-plugin-perfection-v330 + iscan-for-epson-v500-photo seem to work, will update if something break. Thanks!

I have v33 as well and all seem to work fine, how can I reproduce your issue?

@Kewl if that is true only for v33 and some other devices mentioned in package description work well with iscan-for-epson-v500-photo package, I can fork this package just for v33 and change dependency there.

@Kewl iscan from iscan-for-epson-v500-photo does not work, as @DaarkWel pointed out earlier (I can confirm this with my v33 as well), while iscan from iscan package does.

@the0 what does it change? I don't have much time to do some tests right now.

@Kewl I have added @DaarkWel iscan package to AUR - https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/iscan. Can we make this package depend on it instead of iscan-for-epson-v500-photo?

@jfcandidofilho no I just saved iscan-data from cache. If you need it https://mega.nz/#!odcikTjC!rqlAMdXHxw9GdpHPJSgHaqL4wUa1wOx7ZGM6C_hs-jU

@DaarkWel sorry for my lack of knowledge but did you built a similar thing for iscan-data? I did the update and now my printer's scanner won't work as well.
