Source download results in HTTP error 404 "Not Found".

As many have pointed out, ix.io is on a break. And without a formal statement saying it won't come back, I believe the package should stay flagged as out-of-date but not removed from AUR. I will keep an eye for any updates and if after 3 months without any official statement, I will remove this package.

mhdi flagged ix out-of-date on 2024-01-22 (UTC) for the following reason:

    ERROR: Could not download sources.

And the reason you cant download sources, is because, http://ix.io/, says, 

ix.io is taking a break 🍻

I am not sure since when. I am not even sure if they were using https (not http) in the curl little script.

There are many, many, many other alternative pastebin helpers in the Official packages and the AUR. You dont even need one , you can have a simple bash alias/function, no need to install anything.

Please consider all this and remove this PKGBUILD from the AUR as soon as you can, if no updates on the situation happen. It is only confusing for AUR end users.

It doesn't set filetype, is that a bug ? i found github repository but no issue section: https://github.com/anish/ix-client/

@eoli3n: that Github repository is not official. The source code is on: http://ix.io/client, and not, it isn't a bug.

If you want to share the link with highlighting given a file type, you need to add manually /c, /sh or /+ after the link. For example: http://ix.io/2Hig/+
