The GitHub upstream now publishes tags with artifacts. I updated this package accordingly.

I didn't know jalgo is still being developed. Thanks for the link.

A new package jalgo-git seems to be a good idea. However, I can't update this package since the github repo does not have any releases set up.

I've packaged the documentation for jalgo: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/jalgo-doc-git/ --> maybe you can add jalgo-doc as an optdepend?

You use a very old version here.

There is active development and much more up to date in the git repository at

https://github.com/tud-fop/j-Algo

.. maybe you are interested to make an "always-up-to-date"-package jalgo-git, or/and update jalgo to a specific, newer version by checking out a specific, up to date commit from the git-repo?

@steiny: upon reviewing your package i realize how bad mine was. well, i was just starting to write PKGBUILDS then… One thing about your package: please quote paths to ensure function with directories containing spaces. otherwise quite neat - thanks for taking over.

Hey, I fixed the package and enhanced it (added desktop file). Would be glad to maintain the package, since you're not needing it anymore. Regards, steiny
