@khampf: Could you please try to build in a clean environment? e.g. using extra-x86_64-build

hexchain commented on 2019-03-20 09:47

@ginkel: Thanks! Fix applied.

@hexchain: Seemed like I was using java-10-openjdk as default. But using the previous java-8-openjdk-jetbrains or java-11-jdk (my currently installed java versions) by 'archlinux-java set' made absolutely no difference. Not investigating further as I ended up using your packages from gitlab

Currently I am having build problems due to kernel 5.0.x. https://github.com/JetBrains/jdk8u/issues/16#issuecomment-474721765 documents a workaround

@khampf: That's strange, I didn't get this error when building inside a clean image (https://gitlab.com/hexchain/repo/-/jobs/178810297). And that error seems to be from Java code, not C, so gcc version may not have any effect.

What is your output of archlinux-java status?

khampf commented on 2019-03-17 22:09

Could not get this going with neither gcc7 or gcc8. Symbols missing in corba. What gives? Here is an example:

Starting corba

Compiling 1497 files for BUILD_BOOTSTRAP_CORBA Compiling 1497 files for BUILD_CORBA /SCRATCH/BUILD/jre8-openjdk-jetbrains/src/jdk8u-jb8u202-b1483.37/corba/src/share/classes/com/sun/corba/se/impl/ior/StubIORImpl.java:127: error: cannot find symbol SharedSecrets.getJavaOISAccess().checkArray(stream, byte[].class, typeLength); ^

@guymers: Oh I wasn't aware that gcc6 is in [community]. Thanks!

guymers commented on 2017-11-15 11:33

Have you tried compiling with gcc-6?

export CC=gcc-6
export CXX=g++-6
