What I did was merge all the fixes I found for Kadu into one new repository.

Those that were in the form of patches and those that I found in repositories:

From now on, Kadu is built from this repository:

@pvg finally kadu started on wayland... and it works. Thanks for last changes in kadu repository (merging into one). Any chances for porting it to qt6?

@ludvick - Right now Wayland doesn't work on my desktop because my nvidia card is too old (I'm using driver line 390). So you know - I can't check this problem, but there is a chance that I will change the card soon.

when I start kadu under plasma wayland, I get this output:

kadu

Under plasma X11 kadu starts without problems.

hello @pvg can you fix kadu-git?

resolved ... i used your previous procedure and everything is ok

If kadu-git doesn't build properly after changing icu libraries and logs errors:

[ 41%] Linking CXX executable kadu
/usr/bin/ld: warning: libicuuc.so.72, needed by /usr/lib/libQt5WebKit.so.5, not found (try using -rpath or -rpath-link)
/usr/bin/ld: warning: libicui18n.so.72, needed by /usr/lib/libQt5WebKit.so.5, not found (try using -rpath or -rpath-link)

Rebuild and reinstall qt5-webkit first. The easiest way in Archlinux is to use the yay package manager and run two commands:

yay -S qt5-webkit
yay -S kadu-git

Can you rebuild kadu against the newest icu libs?

Package updated: adaptation to the qxmpp-qt5 package

Package cannot be built because dependency qxmpp is missing (now it's called qxmpp-qt5).

I have no idea at the moment, but I'm going to explore it in my free time.
