@SelectionRemark: For me too, thanks for the notice. I have removed the iconv part now. This seems to work fine, tested with special chars from German and Spanish.

Thanks for the package, at least for me the encoding got screwed up. I have fixed it by removing the iconv part (so the line is now tail -n +${_front[$i]} /usr/share/hunspell/$file | sed -r 's/\/.+//g' > $srcdir/$file.txt )
