@alerque yeah, forgot to update the LICENSE file.

@tallero: Sorry I took so long to reply—I had notifications disabled, so I didn't realize someone had addressed me until now. Someone else has already uploaded the tarball to archive.org: https://archive.org/download/kindlegen2.9. The MD5 checksum of the .tar.gz file is also 21aef3c8846946203e178c83a37beba1, i.e., the value in md5sums in the initial commit for kindlegen. I've also verified that the sha256 checksum of the archive.org tarball and the original tarball match up; they're both

I'm not really okay with this being just a bare binary stuffed on Archive.org. At the very least I'd like to see the whole tarball including the license (which is actually required for Arch packages to include!), and coming back with the same checksum as the one that was last officially posted would be a huge plus. Otherwise there is basically no way to verify that you didn't wrap it with a backdoor in the binary or some nonsense like that.

@flyingpig: could you upload release notes, eula and the other things to archive.org so that we will have a "stable" link in the PKGBUILD?

I noticed that the archive link posted only contains the binary. If anyone is interested, here is the old KindleGen 2.9 tarball which contains the release notes, EULA, and more: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nv9JQ7E7z3ogZu4QMcs0pBOr4YlKTWqL/view (dead link; file now removed).

I have problems previewing the tarball without a Google account, but downloads should work fine.

@Nomeji adopted and fixed.

If anyone is looking for the file, I've got it from an old hard drive.

You can get it from here : https://archive.org/details/kindlegen

Could be nice to make the PKGBUILD download from here as well.

Unfortunately the link is now broken.

Thanks. Updated the PKGBUILD to fix these issues.

Slightly modified PKGBUILD, since the layout of the tar file changed and it wouldn't build for me: http://pastebin.com/JR9ZhfEK
