NOTICE: Since version 1.15.3 this package(s) only provides the required bits to setup a cluster using kubeadm (similiar to the debs/rpms provided by the upstream project) as documentation about setting up a cluster from scratch has removed and provided systemd services were out-of-date. Also there is now only 4GB of ram required to build the package.

@Svenstaro Simply to make a point. It hasn't been updated in a while as two TU's asked to move it to community (but never proceed), I was away for two weeks, issues with the new Go version (which happen often with Kubernetes after a new version of Go is released), and currently I'm moving so I haven't much time to test. After you brutally removed me as maintainer I didn't feel any obligation to explain the delay. And if @Eschwartz wouldn't have been too early with accepting the disown request and @chayen wouldn't have take ownership (without actually updating), this package would have been updated by now.

@irtimmer, if you had an updated package for this after all, why did you not simply also update this aur package?

irtimmer commented on 2018-05-25 06:33

Up-to-date package is available at https://github.com/irtimmer/kubernetes-aur

Will fix shortly. Could everyone that's having issues please submit a comment describing the issue you're having and any workarounds you've implemented. Thanks.

Edit PKGBUILD. Change pkgver from 1.9.3 to 1.9.4 and change the first sha256sum to 645819c4e479d80d4f489bb022e3332fcede8fcb8e4265245621547d0b5ac8a7 will fix the go version issue

@irtimmer Hey, it's still broken

Detected go version: go version go1.10.2 linux/amd64. Kubernetes requires go1.9.1 or greater. Please install go1.9.1 or later.

Without an update this package is broken because of the build failure (see brando56894's comment).

@irtimmer are you going to update it?

brando56894 commented on 2018-05-06 15:41

The package fails to build because it says it requires go greater than v1.9 even though 1.10 is installed.

Detected go version: go version go1.10.2 linux/amd64. Kubernetes requires go1.9.1 or greater. Please install go1.9.1 or later.

Let's not play this game. Do you plan to update this package within two weeks or not?

irtimmer commented on 2018-05-01 14:01

@Svenstaro You really should read https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch_User_Repository#Other_requests . I hope it will make you understand how I expect you handle things like this. Doing thing like this without communication is simply a no go.
