Did some changes now and put something from the install script into PKGBUILD. I do not know if everything works. I deleted the /usr/share/kyocera9 folder completely and kept just the ppd files.

I guess it must be clean reinstalled to use this (remove and install).

On another note: Couldn't some of what you do in the install file be done in the package() function?

The source url is outdated. Please change pkgver to

pkgver=9.2.20220928

and of course you should reset pkgrel=1 and update your install file.

My checksum is

md5sums=('e76eabb903e07ef15f62c963a717a539')

I don't know if there are new depedencies or if some could be removed.

This has some file conflicts with kyocera-cups. Should the latter be included in the conflicts array, or should one of the two packages remove the conflicting files from it's own package and optdepend on the other?:
