@dbermond there seem to be an error while compiling this version:

This package required "gflags" package. Otherwise " libgflags not found " error occured

Manjaro folks having issues should replace this package with the Official Repositories libjxl

@Vaporeon Changed the highway dependency for the time being. 'libjxl_jni.so' is still present. If this file is not being built for you, probably the build system is not detecting your 'java-environment' (jdk).

build/tools/libjxl_jni.so, a file manually installed by the PKGBUILD does not exist anymore either.

This fails to build without highway version 0.15.0 or higher.

it's failing here too but it's more of upstream issue tbh, report test failures to libjxl's github
