@mauritiusdadd, I have tried building with an AUR helper, with makepkg, in clean chroot, I do not have a custom makepkg config, this error is only occurring with this package, and the user has read/write privileges in the build directory. I’ll try bringing this up in a forum. Thanks for your help.

@Dunadan, I can't reproduce your issue. I think the forums is a better place to seek help because more users can potentially read you and try to help you and you also should provide more information about how you are building the package, for example:

  • are you using an AUR helper or makepkg?
  • Does this error occur only with this package?
  • Do you have any custom makepkg configuration?
  • Does your user have read/write permissions to the directory in which you are trying to build the package?
  • Have you tried to do a clean build?
  • Have you tried to build the package inside a clean chroot?

I'm having some trouble building libsnl-svn. The compilation is aborted with this error message:

/startdir/PKGBUILD: line 29: cd: /build/libsnl-svn/src/libsnl/src: No such file or directory
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in prepare().
    Aborting...

I then edited the PKGBUILD to create the missing directory to see if there were other issues and this error stopped the compilation:

sed: can't read ./makefile: No such file or directory
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in prepare().
    Aborting...

Any ideas on what might be causing this? Thanks for looking at this and tell me if you need more information.
