Hello! It seems that the "PINCTRL_AMD=y" Change in 5.19 solved all the raven incompatibilty problems (with mainline kernels). As far as I can see, the LTS kernel is no longer needed and we can go mainline again!

FYI: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?h=v5.19-rc8&id=41ef3c1a6bb0fd4a3f81170dd17de3adbff80783

If you have newer AMD (CPU!) hardware, I welcome you to use my aur/linux-amd or aur/linux-amd-znver2 package

I have placed this kernel on the 5.4 kernel version with intend of staying there (since 5.4 is expected to be an LTS release)

If you have newer AMD (CPU!) hardware, I welcome you to use my aur/linux-amd package, but for raven ridge, this is the end of the line.

Tired of compiling? Use this binary repo instead! Add this at the end of /etc/pacman.conf :

[linuxkernels]
Server = http://nhameh.ovh/$repo/$arch
SigLevel = Optional TrustAll

OK, I found the fix on https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=247711 for users with the Realtek RTL8822BE device:

-blacklist the broken new rt module:

/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf: blacklist rtw88 blacklist rtwpci

-force the load of the old driver: /etc/modules-load.d/wifi.conf: rtl8822be

-install rtlwifi_new-extended-dkms from AUR (with your favorite AUR helper) pikaur -S rtlwifi_new-extended-dkms

optional: reinstall the kernel with the headers or just mkinitcpio -P

I hope this helps some people find the way to the bbs link for the fix.

Updated the kernelsources to 5.2 Mainline, since 5.1.21 has been marked EndOfLife at 2019-07-28

I also included the replacement of the RTLWIFI driver from staging, RTW88. However, I have one ravenridge laptop in my possesion where this new driver is not working (using a RTL8822BE device), as it is unable to scan for WIFI networks. If you have the same problem please use the old kernel (http://nhameh.ovh/linuxkernels_archive/linux-amd-raven-headers-5.1.v.21-4-x86_64.pkg.tar.gz) until I figure out how to get this working (so far lots of tries, 0 succes).

This issue also appears on other 5.2 mainline based kernels -- also the vanilla arch one -- atleast on my laptop with the RTL8822BE device. Any info on this topic is welcome, since I wonder If my laptop is just a one-off or if it is a widespread issue.

Indeed, the problem has been fixed for quite a while now, but my kernel still contains some specific AMD kernelconfig options so I decided to keep maintaining this kernel none the less.

Just wondering if this is still beneficial even if the stock kernel is working on my laptop that has a ryzen 5 2500u.

Updated the kernelsources to 5.1 Mainline, since 4.20.17 has been marked EndOfLife at 2019-03-19. Nobody wants an unpatched kernel.
