@graysky I think it might be since I've modified my initramfs to the minimal size.

I could have sworn some of the usb subsystems were added directly to the kernel this release. I just don't want to reboot and find I have an unbootable kernel.

Any idea what to do about modules not being found?

graysky commented on 2018-11-14 22:05

I get no such errors

zerophase commented on 2018-11-14 20:49

When running mkinitcpio, on 4.19.2, I'm getting errors over ehci_pci, xhci_pci, usbhid modules not being found. Have those modules been renamed?

@graysky: wiki for modprobed-db mention to call the localmodconfig as below:

make LSMOD=$HOME/.config/modprobed.db localmodconfig

What's the difference of the two methods?

Anyone tried unofficial patch submittied in ck-hack comments?

Could be tampered, I haven't tested yet (and not advocating this package use it).

Here's patch-4-18.ck1.xz

Ranguvar commented on 2018-10-29 00:38

Anyone have a mirror of patch-4.18-ck1.xz?

artafinde commented on 2018-10-28 22:45

Meh, seems down - can't download patch

I'm getting an error while building this, although it's unclear what it is. All the previously logged patching steps are either skipped or success. Here's just the last bit:

patching file sound/soc/soc-dapm.c patching file sound/usb/line6/pcm.c patching file tools/objtool/Makefile ==> ERROR: A failure occurred in prepare(). Aborting...

I simply clone this AUR link, modify PKGBUILD to "_makeenconfig=y" and "_NUMAdisable=", then "makepkg -sri". Changing "_subarch=" has no effect.

I checked that last Makefile that's patched and it's indeed patched. I think the problem is the next line in the PKGBUILD, "local src"

@graysky - seems to be a known issue, thanks for looking into it. :)
