The repository for linux-rt and linux-rt-lts has moved to a new location.

If you use the custom repository, please update your pacman.conf accordingly, as the other one is going away by the end of the month (January 2021)!

Thank you Ralf_Mardorf I am going to try this. That's a good idea.

Hi Mik, I don't know if the PKGBUILD applies other patches, but the RT patch. If it should apply other patches, too, consider to build from kernel.org sources by using the kernel source and only applying the RT patch. You likely will still experience the same issue. If so, the linux-rt-users discussion and bug reporting mailing list is the best place to report the issue. Regards, Ralf

Hi,

I have freeze issues with linux-rt(5.13) and linux-rt-lts(5.10). I don't reproduce the issues on the standard prempt kernel (5.13.7) with the exact same operation (build a package). This is the log I get before freezing:

I am on intel N3700 I have tried everything bout i915 etc... I don't think the problem comes from that. Indeed, I have no issue when I run in the standard kernel.

What would it take to enable the non-GPL build flag so that zfs-dkms works?

dvzrv commented on 2020-09-03 19:03:

If you have time to do benchmarks between this setting and e.g. the default CONFIG_HZ=300, please do share!

I had no time to do so and still don't have got the time. However, I keep it in mind. Yesterday I build 2 longterm kernels that only differ by CONFIG_HZ [1]. If I should do any testing, I'll report back. Don't reckon that this will happen soon, if at all. I just want to inform, that it's still on a todo list, it's just not that important to me.

Has got anybody who is using USB devices, excepted of habys, noticed a difference?

5.10.12.26.arch1-2 seems alright.

dvzrv commented on 2021-02-06 16:35

@rvalles, @blackhole: Yes, I am also experiencing issues. I have already found the culprit in the config and will release a fixed version and rebuild for glibc 2.33 later today.
