Status so far: tried with linux-bfq-mq. No resume issues. linux-rt-lts: No resume issues. Linux: none. It seems to be isolated to the linux-rt-bfq kernel. I start with these kernel options: "ro root=UUID=xxxxxxxxxxxxxx initrd=/boot/intel-ucode.img initrd=/boot/initramfs-linux-rt-lts.img threadirqs elevator=noop".

Could you try linux-bfq-mq ort linux-rt without bfq patch?

We just need to cover all of our bases.

kflak commented on 2017-12-05 11:40

Hi sir! Yes, I have now tried the vanilla kernel as well, where suspend/resume works as expected.

@kflak

Did you try with another 4.14 (without rt/bfq)?

kflak commented on 2017-12-03 14:51

Hi,

First time poster here, so please bear with me if I make no sense whatsoever ;-) When using this kernel I can't wake my computer from suspend. This is happening on a MacBook Pro early 2013 15-inch retina. I have excluded nouveau drivers as the culprit (added nouveau to the MODULES section of /etc/mkinitcpio.conf), and the suspend/resume function works as advertised in linux-rt-lts, which is what I have reverted to now. I would, however, be much more happy to use a more up-to-date kernel. I also tried installing https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/mba6x_bl-dkms/, but no joy. I would be super grateful for some advice on how to proceed on this one! This is happening in i3wm. I haven't installed any other wm or dm, so I have no idea if it would work in another environment.

Best, K

No problem.

I've updated sed/flag but I didn't push new patchset. Sorry for that.

thank you!
