As a matter of fact, I have tried replacing this that you metioned in the script but it just doesn't work(errors like before )...I just do not know why.
About the scrolling, that is, when I touch the screen it work more like a mouse that make texts selected and do not scroll the page.

I use this script to update the wifi mwiflex firmware:
Obviously change it to suit your system before using, reboot, and wifi should work!

Can you elaborate more on the scrolling issue?

On my sp3 wifi doesn't work
and dmesg tells me that firmware pcie8897_uapsta.bin failed to load.(I remember that error code is -2)
touscreen is not working well as the 4.6.2 kernel. When scrolling, it select items but do scrollworks (in google-chrome).
These are my problems, thanks for your package!

My WIFI also dont work with the last version. It worked with the first 4.8... version. I am on Surface Pro 3.

Nvm... was missing one of the Marvell drivers.

Thank you for your work!

I don't maintain any 4.6 kernel packages

frat commented on 2016-11-13 01:49

but your last 4.6 kernel worked for me all good

alyptik commented on 2016-11-13 01:46

No problem! Yes it does (I used the patches from the Fedora kernel,) but the support was may have already merged into the mainline kernel so the patch may have been superfluous.
