IDK
Compare these configs (I think it could be CONFIG_EFI_xxxxxx)
https://github.com/xanmod/linux/blob/5.10-rt/.config
https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/tree/config?h=linux-rt
Anyway, probably is easier to add to Grub/Syslinux, etc and that's it.

@figue according to the wiki there's a way to set it when building the kernel with the config file (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Kernel_parameters) but I couldn't really figure out how to do it… :/
figue commented on 2021-01-21 11:33 (UTC)
@MithicSpirit Do I need to modify something in PKGBUILD to do that? I don't understand... Kernel parameter should be added to bootloader I think.
MithicSpirit commented on 2021-01-20 23:38 (UTC)
It would be nice if it automatically detected whether the computer is running with UEFI or BIOS and, if the former, enabled the
efi=runtime
kernel parameter, as recommended in https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Unified_Extensible_Firmware_Interface#Requirements_for_UEFI_variable_supportfierce_brake commented on 2020-12-29 19:52 (UTC) (edited on 2020-12-29 19:52 (UTC) by fierce_brake)
@figue, very well ill give that one a shot, thanks for your help and happy holidays!

@fierce_brake no as far as I know.
But you can build the kernel with all your settings in another machine and install with
pacstrap -U

Greetings everyone! I would like to install this kernel at the pacstrap step in the installation procedure. To such end, is there any pacman repo i can use during an from-scratch install?
thanks!

That last pkg update did the trick, built and booted just fine. Thank you very much.

@Tjuh you were right. Fixed now!
Tjuh commented on 2020-10-17 17:10 (UTC)
Tried that but it still downloads that file and tries to apply it.
