I'm getting very concerned that Broadcom is just going to drop the whole MegaRaid line. Sorry if this is a dumb question but would it be possible to copy the MSM_Linux-x64.zip to a hosting site like Mega.nz or Google Drive and have the build point to that copy? That way we're not all totally screwed by them. If you can find the zip file on Broadcom's site again in the first place.

The source file url is returning 404: https://docs.broadcom.com/docs-and-downloads/docs-and-downloads/raid-controllers/raid-controllers-common-files/17.05.02-01_MSM_Linux-x64.zip

This is the correct URL: https://docs.broadcom.com/docs-and-downloads/docs-and-downloads/raid-controllers/raid-controllers-common-files/17.05.02.01_MSM_Linux-x64.zip

I found this in the PKGBUILD:

_pkgver=17.05.02-01
pkgver="${_pkgver//-/.}"
...
...${_pkgver}_MSM_Linux-x64.zip"

Looks like _pkgver is required for the installer tarball, but not for the URL.

@sl1pkn07: my bad, I had not the [multilib] repo enabled. Thanks and sorry for the noise.

lib32-libpng12 is in [multilib] repository

Let me check later

Greetings

Is this package still working? I see that it has some dependencies that are not present even in AUR, e.g. lib32-libpng12. Which is the supposed installation procedure?

@filmtools: No it will not. If you want a service to start on boot you also need to run "systemctl enable lsi_msm.service"

filmtools commented on 2020-06-17 20:34 (UTC)

@GUNSNROSES: Not :) I did not know how to do it in Linux :) now it works :) thanks - will this always start now after a reboot?

@filmtools: Have you started the server with systemctl start lsi_msm.service?

filmtools commented on 2020-06-17 20:22 (UTC)

Built just fine on Manjaro but I can not connect to the server - everything is local. It says that the sever is not running? How do I start a local server for it? Raids are connected directly to the machine.

thanks!
