You've updated the wrong PKGBUILD (for man-pages-fr instead of man-pages-fr-git). But doesn't matter, once the next version of manpages-l10n has been released, you will need this line anyway, because v4.2.0 will also include the Pacman man pages.

thanks for providing this package. As an upstream developer of manpages-l10n, I'm always happy to see that someone maintains downstream packages. I've reused the PKGBUILD for my AUR packages man-pages-de-git and man-pages-nl-git.
Note, the current Git of manpages-l10n contains some translations of the Pacman man pages, which I've imported from the package man-pages-pacman-fr [1] and merged with the current translation templates, based on pacman-5.2.2. Please add
conflicts=('man-pages-pacman-fr')
to your PKGBUILD to be on safer side. I've tried to contact the translator Marc Poiroud, but his mail address is no longer valid. So I also consider the AUR package as orphan anyway, although it is not marked appropriately.
