The source ZIP has changed. Its new SHA256 sum is 9810886f0b900e25131285c332be341629c6fafe460ef4371ecf3c24e6688c80. After manually changing to this checksum the package appears to be working.

The Wayback Machine URL in PKGBUILD points to a file that also does not pass the checksum test. However, a ZIP that passes that check can also be found on Wayback Machine: http://web.archive.org/web/20210301174639/http://www.spectrum-soft.com/download/mc12cd.zip .
