The sample mingw PKGBUILDs show them quoated. The quotes on the options should not be the problem. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/MinGW_package_guidelines

The options are malformed, they should not be quoted. The package is not building with them quoted.

hi, would you consider using the mingw-w64-configure script ? it allows to set right compiler flags and configure arguments. xan.
