This package was orphaned so I took it up and everything seems to work now! Brief summary:

  • ffmpeg is no longer a dep
  • python-pixcat and been dropped in favor of python-pixcat-git which I am maintaining

The pixcat change is so we can use dataclasses from python >= 3.7 rather that the backport who's build is broken at the moment.

Please remove the python-ffmpeg dependency, it is no longer needed, and as it's tests do not pass, fails the whole package's install.

@johnhamelink, please don't flag packages for issues unrelated to outdated versions.

As of v1.7.0, python-ffmpeg is no longer a dependency.

Done, thanks for mentioning the dependency.

There is an update (v1.5.0) upstream that depends on the package https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/python-colorthief/ If you could add that dependency, it would be amazing!

I didn't realise that non-git ueberzug existed in repos(was expecting it to be called python-ueberzug), switched. Also, I think the -git package is just missing a dependency on libxres, will notify the maintainer.

The python-ueberzug-git package fails to build. Maybe change the dependency to the non git ueberzug package since it appears to work fine.

@Kenzie thanks for the notice about python-pixcat, I've updated the PKGBUILD. I've also fixed the python-pixcat package itself, which had some wrong permissions which broke this build.

In the future, please use comments for this reports, instead of flagging the package out-of-date.
