It appears 1.7.5 is already available and 1.7.4 was removed.

@mars: Hi, I don't really understand if what you want is that I add that option to the PKGBUILD, if that is the case then I can consider adding it on the next version of the package (I don't remember if I remove it or was never there on the first place)

Hi, could we consider adding options=(!strip) to the PKGBUILD? This option aim to strip symbols from object files and it seems unnecessary here. With this option, makepkg take much time on the step Stripping unneeded symbols from binaries and libraries...

The file mint-y-icons_1.4.9.tar.xz doesn't exist in Linux Mint's repository

I looked at the PKGBUILD

cd ~/.cache/yay/mint-y-icons/

nano PKGBUILD

I've edited the PKGBUILD file with these variables changed

pkgver=1.4.9 > pkgver=1.5.0

sha256sums=('893183cfcc2556b202e5e73c5e68040bb171394827bf063e9762ce93ff784a3d') > sha256sums=('fd2916cf9bdd6b7db57b194c95cc48a6fa2180f9e6fe908e1e3035ed4de2cc10')

I saved the PKGBUILD file and then ran:

makepkg -Si

all seems well until I run the update with:

yay -Syu

Clement removes the old binaries when he releases new ones, even if there aren't any security issue. My sympathies for maintainers who has to deal with this nonsense. "mint-y-icons-git" works, but I'll just stay away from anything Minty I think.

Currently fails with:

In the PKGBUILD, the sha256sum should now be: 064245e55b123744d44024a64a4fbcfbfb107f6c7e68cb21cde71c2a69d0e069

EDIT: While I was writing this message, you updated the PKGBUILD :-) Nice.
