After pacman -Syu update VPN no longer works:

$ nmcli c up ivpk
Error: Connection activation failed: Unknown reason
Hint: use 'journalctl -xe NM_CONNECTION=ac991785-ddc4-40bf-a9d9-90a8139ab161 +
      NM_DEVICE=enp0s25' to get more details.

In logs I see:

The installation path seems to be incorrect. The package use /usr/lib/networkmanager but the existing path is /usr/lib/NetworkManager

NoSync commented on 2020-01-08 17:48 (UTC)

Same here - after installing this package and libreswan, nothing shows up in NetworkManager even after a restart.

@LittleHuba: thanks for the info. I added the missing dependencies. gtk3 and gettext were also missing.

@stramaz: I installed this package today on an clean installation of RebornOS with gnome desktop and after restarting networkmanager there was a new VPN option (IPSec based VPN). So everything seens to work for me. Did you figure out your problem?

LittleHuba commented on 2019-10-14 23:05 (UTC)

Missing dependency on 'libnma'

stramaz commented on 2019-09-05 09:14 (UTC)

Thank you @JochenJ, Now the installation works. I don't know exactly why but in NetworkManager I don't see a Ipsec based VPN (libreswan) but just Ipsec based VPN (openswan) and Ipsec based VPN (strongswan). But maybe it's not depending on this installation package

JochenJ commented on 2019-09-03 14:04 (UTC)

@stramaz: I removed the dependency to libnm-gtk. It works fine for me without. I also updated the version to 1.2.12.

Please let me know if it works for you too.

Thanks for you feedback.

I cannot finish the installation process because of libnm-gtk. I tried changing the dependency to libnm-gtk-git but at the end it is in conflict with installed libnm and it doesn't work both if I try to replace libnm-gtk or not. Any help would be really appreciated, thanks!
