@Morn I changed "/etc/yaourtrc": TMPDIR="/var/cache/pacman/yaourt", now it installed correctly, thank you.

P.S. I have removed "/../" from the file paths. I suppose if you are using an AUR helper that could have caused problems. I hope it works now.

@JohnRobson: I cannot reproduce your issue. I did git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/newsfeed.git cd newsfeed makepkg and the package builds just fine without errors. But my makepkg (from pacman 5.0.2-2) does not use /var/cache/pacman/makepkg/. So maybe this is an issue with your makepkg configuration?

P.S. If you use opml2feed.py, quit the GUI app first or the import won't work (i.e., the app will just overwrite ~/.newsfeed and ignore that it has been changed by an outside script in the meantime)! OTOH if you only want to add a single feed URL from the commandline at a time, you can use add_feed.py which also works while the GUI app is running and causes it to refresh. See the documentation for more details.

Mrbit, "feed2opml.py" and "opml2feed.py" are for exporting/importing OPML files. Was that your question? Or did you mean you wanted a button in GUI? BTW, there is an experimental Python 3 version at "https://github.com/mdoege/3NewsFeed". (Before Python 3.3, that code never worked because there was a problem with multiprocessing and queues.) But now at least the main program seems to run correctly. Some of the helper scripts still have issues though. If you'd like to try the Py3 version, back up your "~/.newsfeed" first though, just in case you'd like to go back to the Python 2 version. (I'm not sure if Python 2 can read a file pickled by Python 3. Probably not.)
