Ah, there's a size limit, I can't push the ZIP:

remote: error: maximum blob size (488.28KiB) exceeded

In that case, I included the TTF and OTF files directly. They can still be compared against the original ZIP.

Hehe, that's a good point. The ZIP is 629K in size, which would be fine. (I'd prefer not to unpack the ZIP, to keep it unmodified. This way, people could compare checksums.) Package is updated.

I kept the license as "other". The author mentions public domain in the bundled PDF, but I'm not exactly sure which files are covered by that, and which aren't. Some of the files are under permissive open source licenses.

I contacted the maintainer through the e-mail contained in the PDF within the ZIP archive. Let's wait if he has something to say. I'd prefer an upstream source for easier updates.

@dbrgn: Oh, sorry for that then.

Because the font files are very small, would it not be possible to just throw them into the git itself? That would remove the dependency on the external service and regarding the license it is probably irrelevant if it is within this git or your webserver. What do you think?

@agowa: Please refrain from filing deletion requests just because a source is down. (Deletion requests don't go to me as package maintainer, they go towards ArchLinux maintainers.)

It would be nice if there was another source. But given the license of the package, I think I can host the fonts on my own web server. Please give me a few days to set things up.

appears like the file is gone entirely now, and not just a certificate error. Is there an alternative source for ocr-0.3.zip?

Edit: First hxxps://osdn.net/projects/tsukurimashou/downloads/74864/ocr-0.3.zip redirects to hxxps://osdn.net/frs/redir.php?m=osdn&f=tsukurimashou%2F74864%2Focr-0.3.zip and that redirects to hxxps://osdn.dl.osdn.net/tsukurimashou/74864/ocr-0.3.zip

And the last one has two IPv4 addresses:

  • 1 rejects the request.
  • 1 has an expired certificate and serves the request.

Currently the download seems to fail due to a certificate validation error on OSDN. Since this is an external issue that I cannot influence with the PKGBUILD, let's wait a bit whether OSDN will fix their server after new year's holidays.

@Marcel_K: Done. Thanks for the note, I wasn't aware of that process.

This package is obsolete. Use the ocr-fonts package instead.

Malstrond: Hm, strange. My local version already contained package(). For some reason the import to AUR4 went wrong. Anyways, I'm replacing this package with the new "ocr-fonts" package that contains both OCRA and OCRB. Please install that instead.
