I was having the same issue as Thorned_Rose. It looks like it's being caused by running the convert.rb script without a TTY, which happens when installing via pamac-manager. I've filed an issue upstream to ask for a fix: https://github.com/varlesh/oreo-cursors/issues/20

I received errors when installing saying "unable to locate theme engine" which was fixed by installing gtk-engine-murrine.
