@pattmayne I think you may only have the 'headless' Java package installed. I think you may need the full JRE installed instead of just the 'headless' package. Try installing 'jre-openjdk' or 'jre17-openjdk'. Maybe I need to change the dependency from 'jre-openjdk-headless' to 'jre-openjdk'. If that's the case, I'm sorry about that.
I've updated the package to require 'java-runtime' instead of 'java-runtime-headless'. I don't know why I didn't realize that before.

Doesn't work for me but I found another solution!
I kept getting this error:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: Can't load library: /usr/lib/jvm/java-17-openjdk-amd64/lib/libawt_xawt.so
In the folder there was no "libawt_xawt.so" file at all, but there was another .so file with a similar name (I forget what it was now).
I uninstalled and reinstalled java many times, and oStorybook too, but it never worked.
So I tried a different method. I got oStorybook directly from the website and followed the instructions for "other Linux distributions." Which involved simply unzipping the folder and then runing "java -jar ostorybook.jar" . I wrote an executable python script to run it more easily, though it's still kind of a hack, but it works on both Arch and Void linux.

Tried to build it today but it gave me an error.
curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404 Not Found ==> ERROR: Failure while downloading http://download.tuxfamily.org/ostorybook/current/oStorybook-5.05.02-linux.bin Aborting... Failed to build storybook
This may be due to the latest (current) version being at: http://download.tuxfamily.org/ostorybook/current/oStorybook-5.05.03-linux.bin

Sorry about the delay. I just realized there was an upgrade today.
I also change the 'depends' to require java >= 8. and changed the commandline to just use 'java' instead of hardcoding the path to the java 8 executable.

@whateverr: Try getting the AUR package using Git and running makepkg manually. I think your problem might be caused by pamac. I don't have any problems building this on a clean system. I just tried.
