To the maintainer, you can add this before the last curly bracket in the PKGBUILD file:

rm "${pkgdir}/usr/share/dbus-1/system.d/com.rastersoft.panther.remotecontrol.conf"
rmdir "${pkgdir}/usr/share/dbus-1/system.d/"

Just removing /usr/share/dbus-1/system.d/com.rastersoft.panther.remotecontrol.conf fixes the issue with dbus-broker.

This package has rendered 3 arch installs unable to boot. It looks like the file /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/org.rastersoft.panther.gschema.xml may be related.

For some reason this package conflict with the new dbus-broker service

This package may require: gnome-icon-theme [ and ? ] gnome-icon-theme-symbolic

I noticed some errors when building, installed those and it went away.

@DonHugo: Thanks for the heads up, I have updated the PKGBUILD accordingly.

DonHugo commented on 2018-09-23 22:32 (UTC)

The development has moved from Github to Gitlab https://gitlab.com/rastersoft/panther_launcher

I think the PKGBUILD needs to be updated to reflect that change.

i'd manage to get the file compiled by downgrading gtk3 to 3.18 and vala to 0.28

@Xiaoming94: I can confirm the issue, here I get the same error. Unfortunately I know very little about Vala and I haven't had much free time lately to devote a few hours to figure out this, sorry. If somebody with Vala knowledge can point out some possible solution, it would save me quite some time O:-)
