I cannot get pharo-launcher to start anymore. If I just enter $>pharo-launcher in a terminal I get a lot of smalltalk code and pharo does not open.

Edit: never mind the noise---I simply forgot to restart my system after a system update <facepalm>

The combination of not finding lib32-openssl-1.0 (mentioned in linked forum post) in the non-AUR repositories and the missing libPharoVMCore.so is what had me confused. It occurred to me that the 64-bit image doesn't care about lib32, and was able to get Pharo 11 documentation browser working with the AUR openssl-1.0 package. Since pharo 10 and 12 Doc Browser work fine without the package, adding a dependency might not be worth using a depreciated and presumably vulnerable library. I'm not an experienced Smalltalk/Pharo user, so I'm not sure what other parts depend on SSL 1.0.

I do not achieve to reproduce your bug I have

Do you have core/openssl installed? Or maybe I should add it in this package dependency

In Pharo 11, I get "ZdcPluginMissing: SSL/TLS plugin initialization failed (VM plugin missing ? OS libraries missing ?)" when opening help->Documentation Browser. Pharo 10 works fine. Not sure if this counts as a software bug or distribution issue.

This package is in version 3.0.3 but do use version 3.0.1 of the GitHub release. It has been released more to fix issue with Archlinux and proper VM stuff https://github.com/pharo-project/pharo-launcher/releases/tag/3.0.1

Hello,

I am having problems with libgit2 on Pharo9 after I updated my system.

Linux 5.14.8-arch1-1 #1 SMP PREEMPT Sun, 26 Sep 2021 19:36:15 +0000 x86_64 GNU/Linux

It seems like Pharo9 wants to use libgit2.so.1.1 which is no longer available.
