I get the following errors:

CMake Error: CMake was unable to find a build program corresponding to "Unix Makefiles".  CMAKE_MAKE_PROGRAM is not set.  You probably need to select a different build tool.
CMake Error: CMAKE_C_COMPILER not set, after EnableLanguage
CMake Error: CMAKE_CXX_COMPILER not set, after EnableLanguage

and two warnings about a missing call to project() and cmake_minimum_required() when attempting to make this package. Any suggested fixes, or is this an issue with the package?

python-soundcard 0.4.2 has the fix, by now you can just update.

the issue should be fixed in the python-soundcard

i think it's better to make python-soundcard as a source not a dependency
