hey.Can proxydriver active without reboot system? I found that the configuration tasks effect every time I restart.

It works great! In applications it is just needed to set them so they use proxy environment variables. Only issue was with integration in KDE 5. I had to replace kwriteconfig by kwriteconfig5 in proxydriver.sh.

It always uses default.conf, regardless which SSID :( Am I doing something wrong? Yes, the current version is compatible, I'm using it in my machine (nmcli v1.4.4) . The sourceforge one breaks because of changes to the syntax of nmcli. The github one (j1ml's) gets it right. They're not equivalent though. j1ml's only works with wifi networks. Also, this package requires dbus-x11 to work properly which I don't see listed in the dependencies. I agree that a release would be better, and the current versions require some maintenance (I don't think j1ml's been updated in some time), but the one in the package plainly doesn't work.

Is the github version compatible with the latest nm version ? Have you tested it ? Also I don't see a release on github, I'd rather use a defined release instead of a git/clone package.

Current pkgbuild is still pointing to http://downloads.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/proxydriver/proxydriver_1.61_all.deb That version is not compatible with the current networkmanager (nmcli) version. Could it be updated to point to https://github.com/j1ml/proxydriver/?

The script is failing on me at this line: export \$(DISPLAY=':0.0' dbus-launch --autolaunch="$machineid") It seems to fail on me complaining that dbus-launch does not have X11 support enabled at compile time. Anybody facing the same?

In case you want working script, fetch this fork from github: https://github.com/j1ml/proxydriver

The script no longer works apparently because the nmcli command syntax has changed: proxydriver[1386]: script called: enp6s0 up proxydriver[1387]: interface 'enp6s0' now up, will try to setup proxy config uration... nm-dispatcher[1165]: Usage: nmcli connection { COMMAND | help } nm-dispatcher[1165]: COMMAND := { show | up | down | add | modify | edit | d elete | reload | load } nm-dispatcher[1165]: show [--active] [[--show-secrets] [id | uuid | path | a path] <ID>] ... nm-dispatcher[1165]: up [[id | uuid | path] <ID>] [ifname <ifname>] [ap <BSSID>] [passwd-file <file with passwords>] ... nm-dispatcher[1165]: Error: 'status' is not valid 'connection' command.
