@mattboy9921 I started getting it too -- looks like it's an upstream problem affecting multiple electron applications that use sandboxing. For now, the workaround is to launch sms (either by terminal or editing your desktop shortcut) to "pulse-sms --no-sandbox"

I will keep tabs on the electron problem but it also appears that maplemedia is on its way to making Pulse SMS closed-source. The main code repo is 404'd and now only the release packages are available on github. So, I'll file an issue with maplemedia but I'm not certain about the longevity of this project anymore, at least on Linux.

As of late, I am getting a crash on startup with the error: Error: Error: ENOENT: no such file or directory, open '/opt/pulse-sms/resources/app-update.yml' Looks like that file doesn't exist. I've tried reinstalling many times. Thoughts?

Upgraded to 4.5.2 release: Per Pulse SMS, a critical update has been released that will likely break compatibility for older versions. If you do not upgrade to 4.5.2, you will likely be unable to send/receive messages soon.

Hey everyone -- I'm a huge fan of Pulse SMS and saw that it was recently orphaned, so I'll be taking over maintenance of the AUR package. The source has now been updated to the latest release, 4.4.1. Happy SMS'ing!

It appears the DNS issue has been resolved, FYI. App is opening properly now.
Upstream source still needs to be updated.

Flagged as out-of-date. Pulse-SMS was sold to Maple Media in late October, so the upstream has changed to their GitHub repo: https://github.com/maplemedia/pulse-sms-desktop
Also, FWIW if anyone is coming here looking for open issues, they are transferring the domain currently so the DNS records are failing and all desktop applications are malfunctioning.
