@complex pull from git. Pulseaudio hasn't used autotools for some time.

@tomyo: It builds fine with standard makepkg. Something's wrong with your yay setup.

Hi! I'm trying to install this on Manjaro, 5.6.16-1 using yay. I get this error:

Starting build()...

~/.cache/yay/pulseaudio-git/PKGBUILD: line 47: ./configure: No such file or directory
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build().
    Aborting...
Error making: pulseaudio-git

Any help greatly appreciated.

UPDATE: I retried and it worked! :)

Hi, could you change so that this pkgver doesn't have the leading "v"? Thanks.

@gdonval, sorry for the wait. I took your advice; I also noticed this package has a new dependency, libsndfile which is required to build and use libpulse.

With that, I'm probably going to give up maintainership of the package. It hasn't been long since I took it over to fix some issues I had with it, as my setup required the development tip at the time, but for a while I've been satisfied with the pulseaudio package from [extra].

As for the sed magic, which may well be unnecessary, the good news is that it shouldn't hurt anything if left alone. If you or someone else who is interested in maintaining this takes over, by all means optimize that section. It'd probably be a good idea to redo what I did when I first took over, and compare this PKGBUILD with the current [extra] PKGBUILD.

@gdonval Thanks for the heads up. I'll get on this as soon as I can.

Installation does not work anymore on Gnome-based systems because of constraints:

:: removing libpulse breaks dependency 'libpulse-simple.so=0-64' required by fluidsynth
:: removing libpulse breaks dependency 'libpulse.so=0-64' required by freerdp
:: removing libpulse breaks dependency 'libpulse.so=0-64' required by pipewire-pulse

(and if you try to remove those, it's going all the way up to gstreamer and gnome-control-center, through dependencies).

Installation works if you modify:

provides=(pulseaudio{,-{zeroconf,lirc,jack,bluetooth,equalizer}} "libpulse" libpulse{,-simple,-mainloop-glib}.so) #"pulseaudio-xen" "pulseaudio-gconf"

(note the 3 added files before the comment.
