Thanks Dave, now it works.

The python-keras package has been split. If you run into ModuleNotFound errors please install https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/python-keras-applications/ and/or https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/python-keras-preprocessing/

Thanks,

-Dave

Just to say that after today's update I am still receiving the error:

ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'keras_applications'

Removing setuptools from the makedepends causes this package to fail to build in a clean chroot.

I made (my first) packages that should fix these problems: python-keras-applications, python-keras-preprocessing and the corresponding python2 versions. As said it's my first go at making a package so let me know if there are problems. @Dave, if you want to maintain/combine these into something else, I'm happy for that to be the case. (I think I may have stuffed up the make_depnds/depends)

I am also getting the ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'keras_applications' error

In 2.2.0 modules applications and preprocessing have been split into preprocessing and applications. Please consider creating the required packages.

I don't know much about packaging so not sure if this is a problem at my end, on importing keras I get: no module named 'keras_applications' afaik, keras was split in the last release into multiple modules A requirement in the setup.py file requires keras_applications==1.0.2, I guess it's a new dependency required? [EDIT] 'keras_preprocessing==1.0.1' is new from the last release too.

Is there a reason for python2-keras being a split package instead of a separate package?

Looking at the PKGBUILD, the build process is completely separate.

Also, for python2-keras, all those python2 dependencies has to be kept after build. makepkg complains about this.

Why did python2-tensorflow get added as a dependency if it does not exist? Was that a mistake?

I assume that if Tensorflow is not installed, Keras gets built without Tensorflow support. If that is true, then adding python-tensorflow as a makedepend makes since, but not python2-tensorflow, since Arch doesn't currently have Python 2 support for Tensorflow.

Ideally, the maintainer would add Python 2 support to the official Tensorflow package, so no one would have to build it, but it doesn't seem like a high priority since no one has ever asked for Python 2 support for Tensorflow (no Arch bug reports) or created an AUR package. Maybe there is a technical reason for this?
