@xiota I just tried to remove
python-setuptools
from my computer but no error fromnamcap
. If there is still any error message fromnamcap
please post it to comment section.And then
python-pip_search
may be needed if someone had previouspython-pip_search
installed but didn't do any upgrade, although it might never happen.xiota commented on 2023-01-22 02:08 (UTC)
The files I mentioned were reported by
namcap
. They importpkg_resources
on ImportError.pkg_resources
is included inpython-setuptools
. As long as the error never occurs, I suppose it's not really needed.Since
python-pip_search
doesn't exist, does it still need to be inreplaces

@xiota I didn't find any line of
import setuptools
or any related. Seems thatpython-setuptools
is only used insetup.py
? Added it tomakedepends
.Conflicting
python-pip_search
because thepkgname
was renamed frompython-pip_search
topython-pip-search
. Maybe I had something incorrect misunderstanding before that, andpython-pip_search
should be added toreplaces
notconflicts

Please add depends on
python-setuptools
. It is used byutils.py
andpip_search.py
.Also, what is the reason for conflicting with a non-existing package,
python-pip_search
?
