please add +https to source line, like in neovim pkgbuild, so people behind proxy would be able to build this package without editing pkgbuild.

source=("$pkgname::git+https://github.com/neovim/python-client.git"

I fixed the url should not be an array issue and updated the PKGBUILD.

Please note that 'nvim' is a separate package. This is only a python-client to it.

This installation is failing for me with aura and yaourt. aura exits with the following message: aura >>= Building `python-neovim-git`... aura >>= Well, building `python-neovim-git` failed. aura >>= Dumping makepkg output in 3.. 2.. 1.. ==> ERROR: url should not be an array Yaourt was also unable to build it: ==> Edit PKGBUILD ? [Y/n] ("A" to abort) ==> ------------------------------------ ==> n Unable to read PKGBUILD After editing the url line of the PKGBUILD to just be a string, aura can install it, but the `nvim` command can't be found: $ nvim --version zsh: command not found: nvim This is probably because this gets installed to $pkgdir, which is the root of where makepkg builds it (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/creating_packages#Defining_PKGBUILD_variables), but not necessarily a good place to install it.
