You could install python-torchvision or python-torchvision-cuda from ArchLinux CN repo. I have no plan to provide two PKGBUILD for pytorch-torchvision and python-torchvision-cuda. However, pull request is welcome.

@hottea Thx not only that, but it seems the problem was also in missing:

export CUDA_HOME=/opt/cuda

That fixed build error, i must say that was a looong build though :)

hottea commented on 2020-11-26 12:27

@keybreak you could skip the test.

Build currently fails for me, tested on Manjaro Stable

zomzom commented on 2020-10-29 17:25

I also had the issue for the video IO test, uninstalling python-av and removing it from the makedepends solved the issue for me. I did not investigate further why exactly it is causing an issue

hottea commented on 2020-10-06 11:10

@bidskii You could skip the check, and report this issue to upstream, not here.

I am getting this error when building version 0.7.0-4

@silversilva @nylocx

I ran into the same issue, and I was able to work around it by removing python-av as a non-optional dependency from the PKGBUILD. (JDAturbo mentioned that there were "python-av related tests failing on [his] system".) I have ffmpeg installed as a video reader backend.

Caveat emptor: I have not tested video reading per se in torchvision yet.

silversilva commented on 2020-10-03 06:28

@nylocx I seem to have the same issue. I got the exact same error and i too did built it with python-pytorch-opt-cuda. Could you share how you solved the issue or if you haven't, could you point which other place you have raised the issue?

JDAturbo commented on 2020-09-16 21:06

python-av is listed twice in dependencies, once as optional. I discovered this due to python-av related tests failing on my system (with ffmpeg-full-git installed).

Could you remove the non-optional python-av dependency?

d_fajardo commented on 2020-08-20 12:20

I tried installing this package to test it but I get a segfault: python-torchvision/PKGBUILD: line 60: 354036 Segmentation fault (core dumped) PYTHONPATH="${PWD}/build/lib.linux-${CARCH}-$(get_pyver)" pytest -v
