The sha256 sum in the PKGBUILD isn't correct. I have cross referenced with multiple versions I downloaded previously and it should be

Install pkgfile and run pkgfile upgreek.sty

ice9: Thanks for the info about texlive-latexextra and upgreek.sty! I also needed upgreek.sty and this was difficult to find elsewhere.

Does not build without ghostscript, so it should probably be added as a dependency ...

I found a package with upgreek.sty. Perhaps this should be included in the pyxplot dependency list? texlive-latexextra

Just installed and tried a simple plot, but I seem to be missing a LaTeX file. Is pyxplot missing a dependency that supplies what I need? pyxplot> plot sin(x) Error: LaTeX error encountered in an unidentifiable canvas item. Error was: File `upgreek.sty' not found.

I would add libxml2 as dependency, keep texlive-core and imagemagick, because anyone will need them for serious use of the program, and not add python, because python2 does the trick.
