The -headless packages conflict with the normal builds intentionally and are not meant to be installed together. Some AUR helpers don't handle this well and will attempt to install all built packages at once.

Just do $ gpg --recv-key 3353C9CEF108B584

I adopted this package, updated it to QEMU 4.0 and added microphone lag fix (ref. https://www.reddit.com/r/VFIO/comments/bgpuod/qemu_40_has_been_released/enmvwjp/).

This package is rather pointless now as the main stuff is in 4.0 upstream Qemu. Dropped.

Any plans on updating this?

@ShayBox worked for me

@wrexthor leave off -i and you can individually install the package with pacman -U qemu-patched-3.0.0-6-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz

P.S. you can avoid building the other packages by removing them from the pkgname array in PKGBUILD, and you can also add --target-list=x86_64-softmmu to _build() to hugely speed up compilation if you don't need *-arch-extra

The pinned gpg key no longer works, Can't install.

wrexthor commented on 2018-11-29 11:58

Forgive my ignorance but how do i exclude installing headless? I used makepkg -si according to the wiki but end up with conflict. Should i exclude some lines in PKGBUILD to prevent headless to be built in the first place?

Could you update the pcie patch with the new official version? It applies cleanly on qemu 3.0 after editing patch 6.

Installing package after update gives error: /usr/share/qemu/vgabios-virtio.bin exists in both 'seabios' and 'qemu-patched'

After last update and my rebuild of this package I get errors from the audio driver trying to start my win10 VM:

error: Failed to start domain win10 error: internal error: qemu unexpectedly closed the monitor: Failed to open module: /usr/lib/qemu/audio-pa.so: undefined symbol: audio_get_timer_ticks audio: Unknown audio driver `pa' audio: Run with -audio-help to list available drivers

ls /usr/lib/qemu/ -la total 508 drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Nov 4 13:34 . drwxr-xr-x 248 root root 172032 Nov 4 13:34 .. -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 31080 Oct 25 20:57 audio-alsa.so -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 22936 Oct 25 20:57 audio-pa.so

The file is there and everything. Anyone other experienced this?

Update: Downgrading from 3.0.0-4 to 3.0.0-2 makes it work again.
