The .git folder is installed to the <esp>/efi/refind/refind-black directory. This should be avoided. Could you change the pkgbuild accordingly?</esp>
Edit: and it creates a unused folder: <esp>/EFI directory, whereas my ESP is at /boot/efi, you should look for the refind.conf file to detect the correct path to refind folder.</esp>
