@rhysperry111 After consulting the Go package guidelines on the wiki again, I decided to re-enable CGO for the build.
Of course, if you don't need the build ID, debugging, etc., you can always modify the build instructions to change the link mode to internal and turn CGO back off.

I'm currently getting
-linkmode=external requires external (cgo) linking, but cgo is not enabled. Is it preferred to change the linkmode or re-enable CGO?leroy commented on 2023-04-29 17:07 (UTC)

Just flag this package out of date and release the maintenance, while pinning a comment. This should do a trick notifying everyone about the migration.

I agree with the restic-rest-server name but I don't really see a way to rename it . I don't know, how well AUR helpers would handle adding replaces=('rest-server') to restic-rest-server's PKGBUILD

As the one who currently has restic-rest-server because I didn't realize this existed, I agree and would gladly hand over that package name.

this really should get renamed, 'rest-server' is such a vague name. should be restic-rest-server or something. is it even possible to rename once they're here?
