You did it correctly in https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/m17n-db-indic/ so I assume you must know the basic fundamentals of creating a PKGBUILD...

@eschwartz - Reverted, thanks.

I get ==> ERROR: Integrity checks are missing for: source with source=("git+https://github.com/sanskrit-coders/sanskrit-fonts.git")

If not a pull request, an example would be best.

That won't work at all, period. Because the sources won't exist when pkgver() is run, only later once build() is run.

Instead, jelly's instructions were to add source=("git+https://example.com/username/repo.git") to let makepkg handle downloading and setting up the git repo sources for you.

Edit: note that the pkgver() function is also needed, it's just not sufficient on its own.

@jelly - Thanks - Now updated to use the pkgver() function. I did not notice any python exception (no python code is used)! If there are further fixes, please send a pull request to https://github.com/sanskrit-coders/sanskrit-fonts-aur

As this is a git package please use the VCS Package guidelines to obtain the source https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/VCS_package_guidelines#The_pkgver()_function

The build/package step also prints a python exception.
