i updated the PKGBUILD and the library, too. i hope it works better now.

thanks for the comments. the install probably does not work because it tries to link against libscrypt.so as if it were installed system-wide, but at this point has only been installed in the pkg directory. this libscrypt.so is not the same as the one from the libscrypt package, they are actually two different projects started a week apart. i am now working on fixing it. i split the install process into build/compile and package/install.

Alternatively, since the build stuff cannot be issued with the supplied make+install file. libscrypt could added as a dependency and the step to install libscrypt omitted

Architecture isn't any. This stuff compiles code (although it fails for me) and therefor the arch array should be filled with i686 and x86_64. And building stuff should be done in the build() function (maybe that is the reason why building fails for me) Wrong syntax for the licenses array. Like the source array, this stuff isn't comma separated. should be ('GPL3' 'BSD') And not exactly sure. But maybe libscrypt should be added to provides (and as conflicts?) as well, as it will install a file into the same location as libscrypt
