There has not been a new Slic3r dev build since March (latest https://dl.slic3r.org/dev/linux/slic3r-1.3.1-dev-8c69278-linux-x64.tar.bz2) despite commit activity on Github, so when the build script tries to use the SHA of the Github master branch head, it 404's trying to find the correct dev build.

There is https://dl.slic3r.org/dev/linux/Slic3r-master-latest.tar.bz2, which might be a useful alternative...

@GPereira Sorry for taking so long to respond. I tried using the cppgui branch but they seem to be not ready yet. I've pushed the cppgui-pkgbuild to gitlab, feel free to try around and create a merge request when you get it to run: https://gitlab.com/msrd0/slic3r-dev/tree/cppgui

You can use this one in the meantime, in order do keep the package usable

@GPereira I'm downloading all builds from https://dl.slic3r.org/dev/linux/, I don't think it is possible to download older commits from there, at least they don't show in the browser. That's why I always query GitHub for the last commit because I know I'll find that build there.

If you have another idea please let me know.

To keep this package working you could get the last working commit, can I be a co-maintainer? I already maintain slic3r, but slic3r is too boring, I would like to try slic3r-dev since I have a dual extruder and would like to play with newer features. :)

Thanks for your honesty :) will check that

@GPereira looks like they've removed the perl-local binary from the dev builds, but the still require it to run the program. Since I have no idea how perl works, I don't know how to fix that.

You best open an upstream issue.

/usr/bin/slic3r: line 6: /opt/Slic3r/perl-local: No such file or directory

What can I do?
