@MrTBuddy I managed to get routes working by using dhcpcd instead of dhclient

dhcpcd -b -4 -G [interface]

The current version seems to contain bugs related to connecting to a SoftEther VPN Server cluster. The latest RTM version is version 4.41 now.

someone using softethervpn where the routes are pushed from the server? installation of the client is working, connection to the destination is established, but after doing a dhclient on the virtual nic i just get an ip but routing table gets no routes from the vpn server. (checked this on other non arch distros and its working well)

anyone here with the same problem?

The download link does not work. It should probably be this: https://github.com/SoftEtherVPN/SoftEtherVPN_Stable/releases/download/v4.38-9760-rtm/softether-src-v4.38-9760-rtm.tar.gz Otherwise, it's this: https://www.softether-download.com/files/softether/v4.38-9760-rtm-2021.08.17-tree/Source_Code/softether-src-v4.38-9760-rtm.tar.gz

The mistake is in the year (2021 instead of 2020). Please fix

is this actually suppposed to be flagged out of date because of v4.36-9754-beta? i didn't think this package followed beta releases.

@net147 Rebuilt soft-ether works. Thank you

Maybe a minor version number change can trigger rebuild for other users and avoid having them run into the same issue?

Thanks once again

@ajays You can just rebuild the softethervpn package against the new version of readline?

ajays commented on 2019-02-08 03:41 (UTC)

Softether has a new issue with libreadline which is updated in repos to V8 while softether looks for libreadline.so.7. Softlinking to V8 file works for now.

@nick91 Fixed.
