Arch's default libssl.so is libssl.so.1.1 We should need libssl.so.1.0.0 link to opt/slskqt.

in soulseekqt.sh, it should probably have "exec" in front of ./SoulseekQt, otherwise it'll keep spawned shell around, which is sorta waste.

@robertfoster Thx :)

on 1,3,4 - sorry, i thought for some reason that you are the creator of soulseek, my bad - i'll contact him via site!

What about that though https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/soulseekqt/#comment-747254 it's also program or there's something we can do to debug?

@aeymxq +1 on the XDG_BASE_DIRECTORY support, would love to have that folder out of my /home.

fyi latest "cleanup" commit broke "Cleanup" functionality of this PKGBUILD (/opt/soulseekqt/{AppRun,default.desktop,soulseek.png,*.AppImage} get installed). you can't quote shell expansions.

this should probably work though: rm -rf "$pkgdir/opt/soulseekqt/"{AppRun,default.desktop,soulseek.png,*.AppImage}

@keybreak

1 3 & 4 are related to features not editable by me. This client is closed source and you can do only little tricks to let him survive against updates. In particular:

  1. for me it works, could you tell me something more about your habits?

  2. done

  3. these are related to the statically linked QT lib that soulseekqt bring with him. Should not affect the normal behaviour. We can only hope in updates or migrate to nicotine client

  4. I've tried to apply system themes, but you have to changes the static libs. Things done in the past, but after a little system update broke everything.

If someone has precious suggestions we can talk about it

Also there is a serious problem i encountered lately, when you just keep client open downloading / uploading / wish list searching - in some time (it can be 5-30 minutes) there's extremely high chance search will stop working (return nothing) and your download list will look stuck, so when you reboot client there will be some missing items (from the point it starts to stuck)...

I can't determine reason, stdout / stderr says nothing about this.

  1. +1 on Close / Minimize to tray, just like qBittorrent or something.

  2. @robertfoster please use good old double quotes for all paths (cd / rm / mkdir etc), some of us build in non-default locations which may have space in path and anyway it's just a good tone to quote path for safety ;)

  3. Manjaro KDE stable here, stdout, not sure how bad that is, but worth mention:

  1. Also would be cool to have system's qt open/save dialog style as it used to, if it's possible, as well as system theme etc.

any chance of adding support for XDG_BASE_DIRECTORY?

I'm sorry to ask, is there any way to get "close to tray" working? thanks
