sorry for smap, I did find problem, well reason why there is /usr/lib/libcrypt.so.1 ...

jancici commented on 2023-10-13 07:07 (UTC)

in my case libxcrypt-compat is in conflict with libxcrypt. what is the solution?

I am getting:

libxcrypt-compat: /usr/lib/libcrypt.so.1 exists in filesystem

Hello, the menus keep disappearing unless I click and hold and if I click and hold, there is no way I can make a selection. Any suggestions on how to fix this? When asked for the jre provider, I chose option 1: OpenJDK Java 20 headless runtime environment 12 extra/jre-openjdk 20.0.1.u9-3 [0B 493.86KiB] [Installed] Thanks.

I added the libxcrypt-compat package again. Thanks for the hint.

I had to manually install libxcrypt-compat because I got this error while connecting Jade wallet:

ERROR Error executing hwi-2.2.1 java.io.IOException: [3695] Error loading Python lib '/tmp/_MEI9QBt27/libpython3.9.so.1.0': dlopen: libcrypt.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

After installation everything works. My Sparrow Version is 1.7.6

Removed libxcrypt-compat package as dependency.

@RealOrRandom Thanks for your advice.

The libxcrypt-compat can be removed again now that we're on 1.7.2 and https://github.com/sparrowwallet/sparrow/issues/631 has been closed. I verified that HWI works with this package but libxcrypt-compat removed manually.

Thanks for your comments and support. I added libxcrypt-compat to the dependent packages.

This needs to depend on libxcrypt-compat (until https://github.com/sparrowwallet/sparrow/issues/631 is resolved). This will resolve the problem encountered by @dougEfish without the manual symlink.
