Why not have the symlink created inside $pkgdir, then it's "known" by pacman?

Please, could you install executable to /usr/bin as well. I am using a custom launcher that does not support desktop files

v1.1.0-2 does not launch:

systemd-coredump[1547]: Process 1545 (stacer) of user 1000 dumped core.

Could you consider adding a line to the pkgbuild in order for pacman to recognize the conflict and offer what to do - the user chooses Y or N
